Twenty years ago this week, Crazy for you by Let Loose was at its highest position of number 2 in the UK singles chart for the first of two weeks. It had entered the top 40 eight weeks previously at number 24 and broke into the top 10 three weeks later. After falling from its peak position, the song started to slide down the chart but remained in the top 10 for another two weeks. A further four weeks in the lower top 40 followed before the record left the chart.

Crazy for you was released on the Mercury record label and was the first of three UK top 10 hits for Let Loose. It was included on the group’s eponymous silver-selling debut album, which peaked at number 20 in the UK album chart later in 1994.

The song had first been released in April 1993 but it had failed to enter the top 40, peaking at number 44. The re-issue was certified gold.
