Fake Plastic Trees – Radiohead

Radiohead took this track into the UK top 40 for three weeks in 1995.

Twenty years ago this week, Fake plastic trees by Radiohead reached its highest position of number 20 in the UK singles chart, having entered the top 40 the previous week at number 21. After one week at its peak position, the song fell to number 37 for a final week in the top 40.

Fake plastic trees was released on the Parlophone record label and was the fifth UK top 40 hit for Radiohead. It was taken from the quadruple-platinum-selling album The bends, which peaked at number 4 in the UK albums chart.
