Rockaria! – Electric Light Orchestra

This week in 1977, Rockaria! by the Electric Light Orchestra entered the UK top 10 at its highest position of number 9, having entered the top 40 four weeks previously at number 40. After one week at its peak position, the song fell to number 10 for a final week in the top 10 and then spent the last three weeks of its chart life in the lower top 40.

Rockaria! was released on the Jet record label and was the fifth of fifteen top 10 hits for the Electric Light Orchestra in the UK. It was taken from the platinum-selling album A new world record, which peaked at number 6 in the UK albums chart.
