Ten years ago this week, Acceptable in the 80s by Calvin Harris entered the UK top 10 at its highest position of number 10, having entered the top 40 two weeks previously at number 32. After just one week in the top 10, the song dropped into the lower top 40 for another seven weeks and then left the chart, although it returned seven weeks later for a final week at number 38.

Acceptable in the 80s was released on the Columbia record label and was the first UK top 10 hit for Calvin Harris. It was included on the gold-selling album I created disco, which reached number 8 in the UK albums chart later in 2007.
