Magic – Pilot

This track by Pilot spent eleven weeks in the UK top 40 in 1974 and 1975.

Forty years ago this week, Magic by Pilot reached its highest position of number 11 in the UK singles chart, having entered the top 40 four weeks previously at number 40. After two weeks at its peak position, the song started to slide down the chart but remained in the top 40 for another five weeks.

Magic was released on the EMI record label and was the first of four UK top 40 hits for Pilot. It was taken from an album called From the album of the same name that did not enter the UK albums chart.
